Ode to Skiing (A.K.A. Death and Pain)

The mountain was beautiful,
All covered in snow.
I went to go skiing,
But I didn't know,
That skiing causes all kinds of things,
Like leg pains and arm aches,
Frozen noses and sore feet,
And all kinds of bone breaks.

I went down the first hill,
All ready to ski,
When, soon I realized,
That the art of skiing had escaped me.

I could only go down,
I wasn't really prepared at all,
Then I tipped over slightly,
And I began to fall.

I did this several times,
On each one of the hills,
I was beginning to think,
About how many medicals bills,
It would take,
To cure every pain,
And mend every brake.

Soon I was exhausted,
Tired, and poopy
I could barely move,
And my eyes were real droopy.

At last, after so very long,
My trail was over and finally done!
The final hill, was way too steep
So I went and slid down on my bum.

My face was frozen.
And everything was sore,
My shoulders and knees,
Muscles, I never knew that existed before.

I sat inside, on a chair,
Melting the snow off my face.
I never thought Hell,
Could be such a cold and snowy place.


Okay.... Maybe it wasn't that bad. But I did take a lot of crashes, and I was soooooo tired. However, I still had a lot of fun. I'm planning on going on the Ski retreat again, just maybe not skiing...ever...ever...ever....again.....
