One day General B Lymphocyte was traveling through the Lymphatic System with his army of Antibodies, when they encountered a deadly enemy, a Pathogen! With no time to waste they quickly went into battle mode to try to defeat the Pathogen. However, the Pathogen had it's own army and they were able to counteract the attacks of General B Lymphocyte. Unwillingly General B Lymphocyte had to retreat from the skirmish.
Over the next few days General B Lymphocyte and his army kept on trying to diminish the Pathogens. The Pathogens on the other hand kept getting stronger, larger, and harder to defeat. General B Lymphocyte had no other choice he called one of his Antibodies to send a message to his brother, General T Lymphocyte, to come with his army of Interferons to help in battle.
Meanwhile in another part of the Lymphatic System, General T Lymphocyte received his brother's message, he and his Interferons left in haste to help rid their precious Lymphatic System of the evil Pathogens.
The day that General T Lymphocyte arrived the Antibodies, Interferons, the Lymphocyte brothers, and the Pathogens had a massive battle. They fought all day and into the night. Thousands of Antibodies, Interferons and Pathogens were killed. At the end of the battle the Pathogens had yet won again. The Antibodies and Interferons had the highest casualties, over half their soldiers were dead. The Pathogens were still strong and growing. There was only one thing left for the Generals to do, they had to wait for the Antibiotics to come.
Day after day after day they waited, growing more and more hopeless each time. The Pathogens were still growing and they wouldn't wait forever, soon they would grow tired, strike and finish them off. If that happened, then there would never be peace again in the Lymphatic Systems and the entire body would suffer.
But their waiting was not in vain, for they soon received a message that the Antibiotics were coming! So, they prepared for battle.
They approached enemy lines carefully and quietly, then they attacked. Once again it was a long hard battle, the Generals fought hard. Then from behind the Pathogens came the Antibiotics. The Pathogens were pressed up on both sides now, there was no where for them to turn. A few hours later, the Pathogens were annihilated.
After the battle the Generals buried the fallen warriors. Soon, the two brothers had to say their good-byes and went on their separate ways. Both Generals continued to fight against any and all Pathogens that disrupted the Lymphatic System until their dying days.
......At least this how I understood the Immune System to work.

The Most Beautiful Thing
An innocent man,
condemned to die.
Through all the trials,
He didn't make a sound,
Though he didn't want to,
He never backed down.
These words describe,
the Most Beautiful Thing.
He was taken outside,
And beaten until he bled.
His was laughed at and mocked,
A crown of thorns upon his head.
His body was torn and bruise,
None could recognize his face.
These words describe,
The most beautiful thing,
They made him carry a cross,
Even though he could barely stand.
They placed him on a cross,
And nailed his feet and hands.
As he was dying,
God turned his back him,
He couldn't look at the sin.
These words describe,
The most Beautiful Thing.
Up there on the cross he died.
They took his body down.
They placed it in a tomb.
On Sunday,
The stone was rolled away,
And the body wasn't there.
Jesus was alive!
These words describe,
The Most Beautiful Thing
He conquer death.
Now we have no fear.
Our sins are washed away.
We are saved
By the creator of the universe,
The healer of the sick,
The light of the world,
The giver of life,
The redeemer,
Jesus!
He died for love,
The Most Beautiful Thing.
