Calvin: I asked Dad if he wanted to see some New Year's resolutions I wrote. He said he would be glad to, and he was pleased to see I was taking an interest in self-improvement. I told him the Resolutions weren't for ME they were for HIM.
.....that's why we're outside now.
Hobbes: I WONDERED what the rush was.
Calvin: I'm getting disillusioned with the New Years. They don't seem very new at all! Each NEW Year is just like the OLD year. Here another year has gone by and everything is still the same! There's still pollution and war and stupidity and greed! Things haven't changed! I say what kind of Future IS this?! I thought things were supposed to improve! I thought the future was supposed to be better!
Hobbes: The problem with the future is that it keeps turning into the present.
Just more reasons to remember that this isn't was it was supposed to be. God didn't want war, stupidity, greed, or even pollution. It was SUPPOSED to be so much better. But it didn't. However, we do have hope for the future, we have hope that this, this messed up, screwed up, horrible and terrible world ISN'T all there is. We can have hope and joy that one day we will find ourselves in perfect, untarnished world, heaven. So although I agree a little with Calvin, we CAN look forward to the future.

Is it a gift to be able to find spiritual application in...well, apparently everything? Or an affliction?
Nice job.
Is that one of the "strenghts" in the strenght finder book the strenght of analogy?...
I think it's good because it proves even more that God can and does apply to every aspect of our lives.
