The Most Beautiful Thing

An innocent man,
condemned to die.
Through all the trials,
He didn't make a sound,
Though he didn't want to,
He never backed down.
These words describe,
the Most Beautiful Thing.

He was taken outside,
And beaten until he bled.
His was laughed at and mocked,
A crown of thorns upon his head.
His body was torn and bruise,
None could recognize his face.
These words describe,
The most beautiful thing,

They made him carry a cross,
Even though he could barely stand.
They placed him on a cross,
And nailed his feet and hands.
As he was dying,
God turned his back him,
He couldn't look at the sin.
These words describe,
The most Beautiful Thing.

Up there on the cross he died.
They took his body down.
They placed it in a tomb.
On Sunday,
The stone was rolled away,
And the body wasn't there.
Jesus was alive!
These words describe,
The Most Beautiful Thing

He conquer death.
Now we have no fear.
Our sins are washed away.
We are saved
By the creator of the universe,
The healer of the sick,
The light of the world,
The giver of life,
The redeemer,
Jesus!
He died for love,
The Most Beautiful Thing.
